Paulshof residents and friends enjoyed Christmas cheer at the Friend’s of Rietfontein’s 2nd Christmas in July. People dressed in white with a touch of red or green. Table settings were superb with thoughtful accents and even snow was found on a few tables. FreeMe volunteers, Davida, Elaine, Barbara and Jo’s table was spectacular.

Beaulieu and Kyalami Preparatory School

The day was made special by the Beaulieu and Kyalami Preparatory School Orchestra, who serenaded all present with their talented string section, saxophone, clarinet and marimbas, accompanied by Susi on the electric piano. DJ Collette kept up the Christmas vibe as diners socialised and enjoyed the fantastic weather.

The purpose of this event was to create awareness of the Rietfontein Nature Reserve and support FreeMe Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Friends of Rietfontein donated half the proceedings to FreeMe. Christmas in July concluded with Santa’s arrival and a prize giving for best dressed table, and children.
