This season, we handreared 7 orphaned Cape fox pups and rehabilitated one adult male.

Reaching their developmental milestones, they are in beautiful condition and ready for the next stage. On Sunday, we caught them all and put them into transport boxes ready for their trip to the Kalahari. We are most fortunate to have Tswalu Kalahari offer their stunning reserve as a release site for rehabilitated wildlife that suit that habitat.

The foxes are in pre-release enclosures where they will acclimatise to their new surroundings. They will then go through a soft release with post-release support feeding and monitoring. Many thanks to Dylan Smith and Gus van Dyk!
